    Description

    The Buescher Grand Tenor Trombone
This is an antique The Buescher Grand tenor trombone.  The serial number is #1359.  This trombone was built somewhere in the early 1900's, but due to a factory fire in 1903, the serial number listings are not available.  From our research serial numbers #1-5000 were built from 1988-1904.  However, there is a patent date of 1907 marked on the bell.
The trombone is silver plated with a gold washed bell interior, and the plating is in very nice condition for the age.  There are some minor dings throughout, but nothing major.  There is some plating wear on the inside handslide tubes, but the slide is surprisingly smooth for the age.  The handslide features a very unique slide lock on the lower slide tube.
There is an additional 2" longer tuning slide included, which changes the pitch of the instrument.  This trombone just received our Ultrasonic Flush & Clean and was completely polished.  It also received a new water key spring and pad.
It includes a H.N. White hardshell case, Conn "Trombone" mouthpiece and lyre.
