In 2002, the Bay View Gifts gift shop in the Contemporary Resort at Walt Disney World carried furniture. I fell in love with this Mickey Mouse grey/taupe "sketchbook" chair and ottoman manufactured by the Mitchell Gold Company. The pattern is adorable. I purchased this (very) expensive set on impulse without fully understanding that it would not fit in the townhouse I had just purchased. My parents agreed to store it for me in their clean, finished basement where no company ever goes, and that's where it's been for the past 18 years - in a pet free, child free, smoke free, healthy household of 2 people.
Despite just sitting there doing nothing all these years, (I might have sat in it for a few minutes maybe two or three times??) the material has changed color due to sunlight (per the cleaning company). Sometimes, light can alter certain kinds of fabric. So, u

, it has discolored areas. It's still beautiful, unique, and extremely clean. The next person to sit in it will be the buyer.
All legs have scratches/scuffs from moving it around the space as my parents redecorated (and I suspect hit it with the vacuum). To solve this, I would suggest painting them with a dark brown furniture touch-up pen. I didn't do that here in case the buyer has other ideas (maybe they want to replace the legs?).
All 4 legs shown in the pictures are of the ottoman. If you would like leg pics of the chair, I can provide them (they are in similar condition to the ottoman).

I still live in the same townhouse with no room, and my parents don't need it, so I'm finally ready to sell it and let my Disney dreams go of ever actually enjoying the set. It's a sad day, but I hope someone else will enjoy them. Another plus - the chair is super comfy!
If you have a Disney friend, consider splitting up the cost where one of you takes the chair and the other the ottoman. The ottoman would look cool in a corner with a plush Mickey on it or Disney books stacked for display.

Pick up is at my parent's house in Wood Dale, IL (zip code 60191). This is near the towns of Itasca, Bensenville and Addison if that helps you place it. Maybe you live in a neighboring state (IN, MO, WI, MI, OH, etc.) and want to take a little trip to Chicago for some deep-dish pizza! :-) I’m willing to drive up to an hour to meet the buyer to facilitate this transaction.
It is strongly recommended that the buyer bring a friend (or several) to help get it into your vehicle. (My parents are elderly and I'm about 105 lbs.) Also, buyer will need the appropriate vehicle to take it away. Please use the measurements provided to be sure you have the right vehicle to get it home - I think Home Depot rents moving trucks for the day. Moving blankets (or plastic, or sheets) are strongly recommended to help protect the items that you transport home.
I'm hoping this set will find a good home to someone who will enjoy having such a unique item (who doesn't mind the imperfections). I have already paid to have it professionally cleaned, so it's ready to bring Disney cheer to your home. The ideal buyer will be a Disney fan who wants a cool chair that isn't available anymore, where it doesn't matter if kids or their friends or pets want to climb on it, live in it, sleep on it, play on it, etc. Another ideal buyer is a Disney fan with a grey/taupe color scheme who is looking for something neat they can't get anymore to watch TV, work on their tablet or play video games in. Since it's not in perfect condition, you won't feel like you can't "use" it the way you want. (Sometimes we buy things that are "too" nice that we don't even want to touch or use! I'm definitely guilty of that!) :-p
